LFI is an open platform, not an AI subscription. Your browser sends question-generation requests directly to the AI provider you select. The key stays in browser memory by default; you may opt to keep it in this tab’s session storage until the tab closes. LFI never sends the key to its server.
We do store generated mock questions, without the key or your personal answers, so they can be shared and reused. Your AI provider’s own API charges and privacy terms still apply.

LFI is 100% open source and free for learners. We welcome contributions and voluntary donations. Clearly marked advertising is planned to help support hosting while practice remains free.
